Getting around

Shanklin railway station is the terminus of the Island Line from Ryde. The station at Smallbrook Junction links with the Isle of Wight Steam Railway; an 'Island Liner' ticket provides a day's unlimited travel on Island Line and Isle of Wight Steam trains.

Bus services to nearby towns and suburbs are run by Southern Vectis and Wightbus. The main bus station is in front of the large CO-OP and No. 3 buses stop just around the corner from Manderley. In the summer, the Shanklin Steamer is useful for getting between the town and the Esplanade (as an alternative to the Lift), and the Island Coaster calls at Shanklin on its way from Ryde to Freshwater.
